Our Story
The world has never been kind to loud women. It tells us to sit down, be polite, and wait our turn. The State of the Femme was born from the refusal to comply.
We are the unapologetic. The unrelenting. The ones who refuse to be silenced while politicians strip away our rights, while LGBTQ+ communities are attacked, while reproductive justice is threatened, and while systemic oppression is dressed up as “tradition.”
Founded on the belief that feminism must be bold, intersectional, and deeply political, The State of the Femme is more than just a media platform—it’s a movement. We cover the stories the mainstream media glosses over, dissect the policies that shape our lives, and amplify the voices of those fighting on the front lines.
We don’t believe in neutrality when it comes to human rights. We don’t cater to fragile egos or "both-sides" arguments. We are here to call out injustice, demand accountability, and mobilize for change.
Our feminism is for all women—cis, trans, queer, disabled, Black, brown, Indigenous, immigrant, working-class. If your feminism doesn’t fight for all of us, then it isn’t feminism at all.
